Recommended Service for Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Mazda, Nissan, Volkswagen
Minor Service: recommended at 7.5K miles, 22.5K miles, 37.5K miles, 52.5K miles- Change oil and filter, replace drain plug gasket
- Check all fluid levels (power steering, brake, differential, transmission, battery, coolant)
- Inspect radiator
- Inspect for oil leaks or fluid leaks
- Inspect and adjust drive belts, inspect all hoses
- Inspect, clean, and adjust brakes (front, rear, and parking),inspect wheel cylinders and brake lines
- Rotate tires, check for abnormal wear and condition, set tire pressure
- Lubricate ball joints, suspension, drive train (if applicable)
- Inspect wheel bearings for play and noise
- Inspect axle boots
- Inspect steering for freeplay, inspect steering gear linkage for wear
- Lubricate doors and door hinges
- Inspect lights
- Inspect wipers and window washer
- Inspect exhaust system
- Inspect air filter
- Inspect fuel filter for contaminants (clear type)
- Inspect and load test battery, service terminals
- Road test
Includes all items in Minor Service plus
- Tune engine-replace non-platinum/iridium spark plugs
- Inspect distributor cap, rotor, and ignition wires
- Replace fuel filter (carbureted cars only)
- Clean throttle body (EFI cars), or clean carburetor (on-car)
- Adjust valves (if applicable), replace valve cover gasket, grommets, and spark plug seals as needed (additional charge on V6 engine)
- Replace PCV valve
- Inspect emissions system function
- Check air conditioner operation
- Adjust wheel bearings
- Adjust steering gear box
- Service automatic transmission
- Inspect in-cabin HEPA filter
Includes all items in Minor and Intermediate Service plus:
- Tune engine (60K interval for platinum spark plugs; iridium spark plugs: inspect and replace as needed at an additional charge)
- Inspect wheel bearings (at 60K) repack if needed at an additional charge
- Lube grease fittings, install fittings if needed
- Inspect EGR system function
- Replace fuel filter on EFI cars
- Replace spark plug tube seals
- Service cooling system (drain and replace coolant)
- Load test battery
- Replace brake fluid
- Service differential
- Service transmission
- Replace thermostat (optional)
- Test engine compression (at 30K and above)
- Replace in-cabin HEPA filter
